Research & Development

To continually improve products and services, Sky Research has an active Research and Development (R&D) department that performs on both internal R&D and client sponsored geophysical projects.  Geophysical R&D projects primarily focus on answering two questions: “what is it and where is it?”.  By answering these questions the number of false positives in geophysical data is greatly reduced, improving the efficiency and effectiveness of geophysical surveys.

The Sky Research internal Systems Engineering team has developed several mission critical pieces of hardware and software.  One example is the Linux based Data Acquisition System (DAS) which allows data from up to 16 data streams to be time stamped with a 10 micro second accuracy. The accurately time stamped data is synchronized in post processing which greatly reduces possible errors in the geophysical processed data.
