LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) and large scale digital orthophotography airborne technologies allow efficient collection of thousands of acres of high quality and spatially dense data. Processed LiDAR data creates an accurate high-resolution bare earth digital elevation model (DEM).
High-resolution orthophotography collected concurrently with the LiDAR data is used for direct detection and visualization of features of interest. Together DEM and orthophotography data allows for the detection of UXO contaminated areas that may otherwise have been missed.
